Sunday 21 April 2024: The Mauritius Bankers Association (MBA) wishes to inform the public, and economic operators that, following the recent torrential rains, Monday 22 April 2024, has been declared a Bank Holiday by the Bank of Mauritius, under Section 63 of the Banking Act.
Consequently, bank branches across the island will be closed. However, urgent transactions may be processed remotely in specific cases.
The public is advised to stay safe, and make use of digital channels such as Internet & Mobile Banking for banking transactions, as far as possible.
