The Mauritius Bankers Association (MBA), represented by its CEO, Mr Daniel Essoo, participated in a public-private consultative meeting hosted by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) at its offices in Ebène, alongside Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs) from the banking sector.

Held as part of an ongoing dialogue between the FIU and the banking industry, the meeting, which was led by the Director, Mr. Bhushan Jomadar, and Mr Kiran Bhoyroo, Assistant Director, provided a valuable platform to exchange views, strengthen collaboration and explore opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of anti-money laundering controls and reporting mechanisms.

The MBA remains committed to fostering constructive engagement between the public and private sectors, promoting sound regulatory practices and supporting the continued integrity and resilience of Mauritius’ financial system.
