CEOs roundtable &  Business Conclave

On 10 September 2025, the Chairperson, and CEO of the MBA, Messrs Abrar Anwar & Daniel Essoo respectively, attended the India-Mauritius CEOs Roundtable, and the Mauritius-India Business Conclave, at the Trident Hotel in Mumbai, India; as part of business events relating to Prime Minister Dr Navin Ramgoolam’s State Visit to India, held from 9 to 16 September 2025.

In his Keynote address at the Business Conclave, Dr Ramgoolam stated India has been and remains a time-tested and trusted partner of Mauritius in its socio-economic development. The conclave was jointly organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and Mauritius’ Economic Development Board (EDB). 

Discussions focused on exploring opportunities across key sectors, including infrastructure, the blue economy, digital technology, fintech, and healthcare.

Strong bilateral ties 

Mauritius & India boast strong economic, and commercial ties, with bilateral trade between the two countries amounting to some USD 800 million in 2024.

World Trade Centre Mumbai 

On 11 September 2025, the World Trade Centre (WTC) Mumbai organised an Interactive Meeting, which focused on exploring trade and investment opportunities, fostering stronger economic ties, and promoting collaboration between Mauritius & India for sustainable growth.WTC Mumbai, and All India Association of Industries (AIAI) will soon lead a business delegation to Mauritius to further strengthen bilateral ties.
